San Antonio/Waco – Magnolia Silos

Why rush when there is so much to see and enjoy? Let’s take our time as we break that first long day with an overnight in San Antonio, Texas #1 destination. Continue the next day to Waco and the famous Magnolia Silos. What ingenuity for two young people to take two old silos and turn them into one of the biggest attractions in Texas. Waco has come alive with the Silos and Safari Cruises on the Brazos River to acquaint you with some of the history. The Texas Ranger Museum and the Mammoth National Monument Site are all included. You will be amazed at all that we see and do.

DAY 1 – We are on our way for a fabulous tour that allows you to enjoy the River Walk in San Antonio with your hotel right on the River. Be sure to visit San Fernando Cathedral headquarters for the Mexican army during the battle of the Alamo. Tonight, you may want to watch the SAGA, a 24 minute technicolor presentation on the front of the Cathedral. Overnight in San Antonio. Kick Back at 5:30pm

DAY 2 – We are on our way to Waco. Traffic may be heavy, so we should arrive somewhere around noon. Included today will be a visit to the Magnolia Silo’s and a concurrent visit to the Waco River Safari.  The Silo’s have every thing imaginable – a bakery to die for, the best food trucks in Waco, plants and any thing else you can think of.   The narrated Waco River Safari cruises the Brazos River as you learn some history of Waco.  Overnight in Waco. DAY 3 – After your included buffet breakfast, visit the Texas Ranger Museum and the Waco Mammoth National Monument for a docent led tour. Noon time finds us downtown at Spice Village surrounded by a myriad of restaurants. After lunch, we take another route back to the Rio Grande Valley following Highway 77 the entire way. BB
