Tipping
Here are some general guidelines taken from National Tour Surveys as well as some general advice taken from National Tour Surveys as well as some general advice from Jo.
Tipping is a personal way of saying thanks for a job well done. Tipping should be done individually and to the person who performed the service. Group collections should NOT be made. Remember, good service deserves recognition.
WAITERS AND WAITRESSES: Tip the customary 10% to 20% of the check depending on the service and the restaurant.
TOUR GUIDE: Your tour guide is highly skilled and knowledgeable. Jo suggests that you tip him(her) between $2-$6 per person per day in U.S. currency or the equivalent. On overnight tours, it is customary to tip more than on a one day tour.
DRIVER: Your driver is a professional and takes great pride in his work. He(she) carries a great responsibility…your safety. Jo feels that the driver is just as important as the Tour Conductor and suggests that you tip him (her) $2-$6 per person per day in U.S. currency or the equivalent.
